View Current Water Quality Conditions on Maine Lakes
The goal of this Near Real-Time Lake Data Pilot Project is to provide volunteers and the public with a statewide perspective on current water quality conditions for several lakes that are geographically distributed throughout Maine. Lake water clarity (aka: transparency) is an important and reliable indicator of lake health. Click on the image below to view current water clarity conditions for the pilot lakes. The information is updated regularly by participating certified Lake Stewards of Maine (LSM) lake monitors. Check back frequently to see how water clarity conditions vary from lake to lake, region to region, throughout the monitoring season.
